The Cattlemen and Cattlewomen will be be serving sandwiches Friday, Aug. 31, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 1, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Advance orders may be place until 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, by calling Edwin Calvert at 256-734-9337. Orders may be placed by phone on days of sale by calling 25l6-339-9869. Since the event started in 1994, the Cattlemen and Cattlewome have used 147,488 USDA Choice Ribeye steaks, more than 49, 411 pounds.
