Cullman Lions Club fish and ham dinner

CULLMAN — The Cullman Lions Club held a fish fry Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Cullman Middle School cafeteria. Over 2,050 people were served a fine meal of catfish or ham, with baked potatoes, slaw and homemade desserts. Of that total, 950 people were served through the “drive-through.”

It takes a whole lotta volunteers, including those in the Cullman Lions Club, to buy food and supplies, setup and prepare the food and see it through to cleanup!

With the proceeds from this meal, the Cullman Lions are able to support many community projects, such as the Project LifeSaver (with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and Pilot Club), the Good Samaritan Health Clinic, Kids’ Expo, and Brooks' Place. The Cullman Lions' next event will be the agricultural fair Sept. 12-22.
