Holly Pond’s Centennial Jam in the Park

CULLMAN — North Alabama’s contribution to bluegrass music over the years has been unsurpassed and we have no shortage of these talented musicians right here in Cullman County and the surrounding area.

So don’t miss out on bluegrass music at its finest on August 18 when musicians and fans from around Cullman County will gather under the shade trees at Lions Club Park in Holly Pond to help the town of Holly Pond celebrate 100 years.

The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at Lion’s Club Park. Everyone is in invited to attend with no charge to the public. Bring a chair, blanket, and/or bring an instrument to join in the celebration.

The Master of Ceremony for this event will be Ray Weeks. Ray is well known around this area not only because he’s a great musician and singer but he has been acting as a Master of Ceremonies at events throughout the country for many years.

The Musselwhite Family from Huntsville will also be there. You can check out their web site at www.musselwhitefamily.com

So, come and gather around the stage, under the stars, and join pickers and singers for an evening of music and fellowship as they help Holly Pond celebrate 100 years.

The yearlong celebration continues into September as Holly Pond will host the annual Holly Pond Founders Day Aug. 22, at the same location as the jam.
