CULLMAN —
Every year the Alabama Dance Council brings dance from all over the state to participate in a festival. This year the event took place Jan. 25-27, 2013 and consisted of performances by two professional guest companies and master classes taught by guest teachers for all participants.
By audition only, local civic dance companies have the opportunity to show their talent in the “Alabama Showcase Performance” which is also presented at the Alabama School of Fine Arts.
The Cullman Ballet Company under the directorship of Elaine Willingham, has always been selected to participate in this showcase.

The West Point High School pageant was held March 2 at the middle school. All proceeds benefit the school. Three categories, from sixth to eighth grades, gave eight winners.
