CULLMAN —
The Cullman Moose Lodge No. 1861 held a reception for James Henderson Sr., the Supreme Governor of Moose International, which includes the USA, Canada, and Great Britain, on Jan.12, 2013. Dale Greer, City of Cullman Assistant Director of the Economic Development Board, served as the Master of Ceremonies and welcomed Supreme Governor Henderson, and other distinguished out-of-town guests. Included in that list were Deputy Supreme Governor, Jeff Sullivan and his wife, Tammi, State President Denny Antisdel and his wife, Louise, and Supreme Councilman and State Secretary Willard Kitchens and his wife, Kay.
Supreme Governor Henderson in his address, emphasized the individual importance of all of the lodges that make up the Moose Family and the great community services that the lodges, including the Cullman Lodge, provide.
Local dignitaries who were honored included Cullman County Sheriff Mike Rainey, Cullman City Police Commissioner Andy Page, and Cullman City Fire Chief Edward Reinhardt Jr.
The Cullman Sheriff’s Office and the Cullman City Fire Department were presented with a supply of the Tommy Moose toys, a soft and cuddly moose which is carried in the patrol cars and emergency fire vehicles and given to calm young children in crisis situations.
Andy Page, who was accompanied by his wife, Liz, and representing Cullman Mayor Max Townson, talked about the high quality of our schools and parks and then presented the key to the city to Moose International Supreme Governor James Henderson.
