Local Lions welcome international officer

CULLMAN — Lions Club members from District 34-A will welcome Brian E. Sheehan, International Director of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization. Sheehan, from Bird Island, MN, will address the Lions during their District Convention on March 9-10, 2012 at the McGukin Civic Center in Cullman. Fifty-three Lions Clubs in the northern third of Alabama are represented in District 34-A.

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with more than 1.3 million members in 45,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographic areas. In addition to its efforts toward conquering blindness, the organization has made a strong commitment to community service and helping youth throughout the world.
