Christmas boxes for vets program

Cullman VFW Post 2214

CULLMAN — Cullman's VFW Post 2214 is sponsoring a “Christmas Boxes for Vets" program for members of

our Cullman National Guard Unit deployed in Afghanistan. Post members have the postal boxes and will wrap and mail them in time to get them to the troops for Christmas. Anyone interested in supporting this effort may send a check for $35 per box to VFW Post 2214 (Christmas Box), 112 Veterans Drive, Cullman, AL 35055. Individual items may be donated for the boxes by dropping off at the Post (best day is Thursday). All checks and items need to be turned in by Nov. 10 (Saturday) to enable the volunteers to purchase and package these items by mailing time. Shown is a typical standard postal box and representative items to be sent. Leading this effort for the VFW is Junior Vice Commander Randy McGraw and his wife, Jeanette.
