Greene - Hutchinson engagement

CULLMAN — Cherese Dennis and David Van Etten of Sarasota, Florida, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Greene, to Dr. Daniel Hutchinson, son of Nathaniel and Judy Hutchinson of Hanceville, Alabama.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Manuel and Ethel Bass of Nokomis, Florida, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Greene of Harvey, Arkansas.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Hugh and Eula Trogden of Hanceville, Alabama, and the late John and Pasty Hutchinson of Venice, Florida.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Pine View High School in Sarasota, Florida, and a 2008 graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. She is also a 2010 graduate with a master's of science in psychology from Florida State University, and Ms. Greene will complete her master's in social work from Florida State University in the fall of 2012.

The prospective groom is a 1998 graduate of Saint Bernard Preparatory in Cullman, Alabama, and a 2002 graduate of Belmont Abbey College, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is also a 2005 graduate with a master's of arts in history from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Hutchinson is a recent 2011 graduate, obtaining his doctorate of philosophy in history from Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. Dr. Hutchinson is currently employed as an assistant professor of history at Belmont Abbey College, Charlotte, North Carolina.
