TIBBIE, AL —
Jonathan and Tammy Howard of Tibbie, Ala., are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Tiffany Melaine Howard, to Austin Talmadge Monk of Cullman, Ala., son of Rev. Paul and Detra Monk of Cullman. Miss Howard's grandparents are Maxine Guy of Thomasville, Audrey "Buddy" Guy of Jackson, Gordon Howard and the late Jean Howard of Tibbie, Ala. Mr. Monk's grandparents are Mrs. Opal K. Smith, and the late Rev. Norman R. Smith, and Mrs. Nelda Monk and the late Rev. Bill Monk.
The bride-elect graduated from Washington County High School in 2008 and earned a Bachelor's of Arts in History and Psychology from the University of Mobile. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling at the University of Mobile. Miss Howard is currently employed with United Cerebral Palsy serving as a Special Instructor and assists in implementing Alabama's Early Intervention program.
The prospective groom graduated from Cullman High School in 2007 and attended Wallace State Community College earning an Associates in Science in General Studies. He has also received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Auburn University. Mr. Monk is currently serves as Director of the Washington County Economic Development Initiative in partnership with the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.
The couple will be married November 9, 2013, at the Historic Malbis Community Center in Daphne, Alabama and will reside in Chatom, Alabama.
