James and Diane Sweatmon of Hanceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Nicole Sweatmon, to Clint Roy White, son of Tim and Kathy White of Hanceville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Sweatmon of Cullman and the late Rayburn Sweatmon, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Shelton of Hanceville and the late Myrtlean Shelton.
Ms. Sweatmon is a graduate of Hanceville High School. She also graduated from Wallace State Community College with an associate in science degree in elementary education and a bachelor of science in education degree from Athens State University.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Thelene White of Hanceville and the late Luther R. White, Cleon and Kathryn Calvert of Crane Hill.
Mr. White is a graduate of Hanceville High School. He received an associate in science degree from Wallace State Community College. He expects to graduate May 2012 with a bachelor of social science degree in education from Athens State University.
The wedding is planned for March 10, 2012.
