CULLMAN —
Bruce and Connie Brown of Cullman, Alabama announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Marie Brown, to Jonathan Tyler Thompson, son of Paul and Wanda Thompson of Hickory, North Carolina.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nellie Davis and the late Ray Davis and Helen Freeman and the late Ranie Brown all of Cullman.
Miss Brown is a 2007 graduate of Cullman High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Alabama. Miss Brown graduated summa cum laude where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She is currently completing a Master of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Alabama and will be graduating this summer.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Raney of Hickory, North Carolina and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Russell.
Mr. Thompson is a 2007 graduate of Hickory Christian Academy and a 2011 graduate of the University of Alabama. Mr. Thompson received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Professional Sales. He is currently employed as a Territory Sales Manager with Altria in Birmingham, Alabama.
The wedding is planned for August 18, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
