Freeman-Erickson

Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Freeman and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dew, all of Cullman, announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Rose Freeman, to Christopher Leif Erickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leif Erickson of Longwood, Fla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Frances Freeman and the late Gerald Freeman of Cullman, and the late Asa B. and Mattie Ruth Henderson of Hanceville. She is a graduate of Auburn University, where she earned a degree in nutritional science and a minor in business. While at Auburn University, Miss Freeman was affiliated with Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.

After graduation, Miss Freeman moved to Melbourne, Fla., to complete her internship required for her licensure at Parrish Medical Center. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in nutritional science from Huntington College. Miss Freeman is co-founder and dietitian for Medical Weight Loss Solutions, located in Cullman, Decatur, and Titusville, Fla. She was recently selected for inclusion in the Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals and the National Association of Professional Women. She is excited to be planning the wedding of her dreams and residing in Atlanta, Ga., with Christopher.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Charles Carr and the late Virginia Carr of Gadsden and the late Charles and Marie Erickson of City Island, N.Y. Mr. Erickson is a graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a degree in business with concentration in management information systems.

After graduation, Mr. Erickson moved to Cocoa Beach, Fla., and accepted a position with Comprehensive Health Services as the senior systems engineer. Taking this opportunity and moving to Cocoa Beach turned out to be one of the best decisions he made in his life because it was there he met his future wife, Hannah. Currently, he is living in Atlanta, Ga., employed as the director of special operation for a GPS fleet management company known as Discreet Wireless while patiently waiting for Hannah to join him.

The bride and groom plan to marry July 26, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta, Ga. Reception to follow at The Fox Theatre. The couple will celebrate their honeymoon in St. Lucia. A wedding celebration for the couple will be held in Cullman on Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Ruehl Building at 2 p.m.
