— Jonathan Watwood and Michelle Brown announce their engagement.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Cecila Brown of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Georgia Brown of Cullman and the late J.B. “Josh” Brown, and the late Marvin and Mary Ellen Funderburke.
Ms. Brown is a 1992 graduate of Cullman High School and a 1999 graduate of Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, where she earned associate degrees in criminal justice, criminalistics and law enforcement. She is currently a stay-at-home mom.
The prospective groom is the son of Deborah Goggins of Cullman and Ricky Watwood of Fort Payne. He is the grandson of Clifford and Mary Gibbs of Cullman, the late John L. Watwood and the late Stella Shedd Mann.
Mr. Watwood is a 1993 graduate of Cullman High School. He is presently employed as a store manager with Rent-A-Center in Cullman.
The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Aug. 10, 2008, at Lakeshore Inn in Double Springs.
