Baggett-Smith

— Tom and Deborah Baggett of Hanceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Catherine Baggett, to T.J. Smith, son of Freddie and Vicki Smith of Athens.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Thelma Green and Lottie Baggett, all of Hanceville, and the late Edward Baggett.
Ms. Baggett is a 2004 graduate of Cold Springs High School and a 2007 graduate of Wallace State Community College. She is currently employed as a health information technician with Athens-Limestone Hospital.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Elisabeth Smith of Athens and the late Herbert Smith, and the late James and Imogene Anerton.
Mr. Smith is a 2003 graduate of Athens Bible School. He is presently a student at Athens State University pursuing a degree in computer information systems. He is employed as a quality data manager with Delphi in Decatur.
The wedding is planned for 7 p.m. Feb. 1, 2008, at Bethesda Church of Christ.
