Free application completion assistance

CULLMAN — The "Giving -Back-2-Community" division of N2College is offering free application completion assistance to area seniors applying for the new "College Counts" scholarship recently introduced by Alabama State Treasurer Young Boozer.

The awards will be for use in fall of 2013 and are intended to promote  the betterment of Alabama's students and the State of Alabama. Eligible seniors with financial need will also have a minimum of a 2.75 GPA, and not higher than a 26 composite on the ACT. Eligible seniors who plan to attend a two-year college after graduation are not required to submit ACT scores. The awards are $4,000 for four-year college enrollees and $2,000 for two-year college enrollees. They are one-time, non-renewable awards.
