Bryant, Smith get Home Builders scholarships

Alabama Home Builders Association

MONTGOMERY — Two area residents have recently received scholarships from the Alabama Home Builders Association.

Forest Bryant of Cullman received a scholarship to study building science at Auburn University. He is the son of Steven Bryant and Ramona Bryant.

Jacob Clay Smith of Vinemont received a scholarship to study engineering at the University of Alabama-Huntsville. He is the son of David and Kimberly Smith.

The Alabama Home Builders Foundation scholarship program was created in order to help alleviate the qualified labor shortage. To apply for an Alabama Home Builders Foundation Scholarship, you must be a resident of Alabama; enrolled in, or attending, a junior college, technical school or university in Alabama; and you must be enrolled in a construction-related curriculum. Examples of such curricula include brick masonry, carpentry, cabinet making and plumbing.
