Baswell named All American Scholar


CULLMAN — The United States Achievement Academy recently announced that Mackenzie Baswell of Cullman has been named an All-American Scholar.

The USAA has established the All-American Scholar At-Large Award Program to offer deserved recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines. The All-American Scholars must earn a 3.3 or higher grade point average.

Mackenzie, who attends West Point High School, was nominated for this honor by the USAA. Her name will appear in the All-American Scholar At-Large Yearbook, which is published nationally.

Mackenzie is the daughter of Chris Baswell and Scott and Marcie Clay of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Betty Baswell, and Shirley and Janette Witcher, all of Cullman.
