Thompson graduated from law school

CULLMAN — Evon Fowler Thompson of Cullman graduated from the Birmingham School of Law May 13, 2012. She is married to Gregory R. Thompson, her husband of 20 years. She is the daughter of Daniel and Shirley Williams Fowler.

A 1980 graduate of Hanceville High School, she began working after graduation worked as an X-ray technician transcriptionist for 31 years. Her law education began at Wallace State Community College for two years and was in the Criminal Justice Lex Corpus Honor Society. She then spent two more years at Athens University and received a double major in criminal justice and political science. She graduated magna cum laude in 2005. She entered the Birmingham School of Law in 2008 after some time out and graduated from the Birmingham School of Law this year.

She is a pianist at Belview Heights Baptist Church, where she is a member.

She is currently studying for the bar exam in July and is also working part time for local attorney, Michael Haynes.
