Wallace State’s Diagnostic Imaging Department hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness tent Oct. 18

All students and employees encouraged to wear pink  

HANCEVILLE — Wallace State’s Diagnostic Imaging Department will host a Breast Cancer Awareness tent in front of the Bevill building on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department is also encouraging all students and employees to wear pink on Thursday in recognition of breast cancer awareness.

Diagnostic Imaging students plan to set up different stations at the tent, all pertaining to breast cancer, including statistics, ways to conduct self-check exams and different imaging procedures.

Free popcorn, pink lemonade and other refreshments will be available along with games and other activities.

All who participate are asked to linger until 12:30 p.m., and congregate to form a pink human ribbon at the Bevill building front lawn.
