CULLMAN — Students in Jennifer Grey's second-grade at Sacred Heart School performed the play Stone Soup. They invited Unlawful possession of alcoholall students 3K-sixth grade and second-grade parents to enjoy the show. The Stone Soup play was written by the Children's Television Workshop. Characters portrayed by the students were Ida Know, Ann Chovie, Bill Lownie, Frank Furter, Rick Cotta, Minnie Stronie and Vida Minn.

Continuing education courses offered at Wallace State
Wallace State Community College’s Continuing Education program is providing a number of opportunities to learn new skills or receive necessary certification. The classes offer everything from cupcake decorating, to CPR, piano or computer skills. These courses range from one-day classes to a two-month online course.
National Honor Society induction ceremony held at St. Bernard Prep
Seventeen students were inducted into the National Honor Society recently at St. Bernard Preparatory School in Cullman. Honor Society Advisor Margaret Hinson welcomed all parents, students and faculty in attendance and congratulated each student for their achievements.
Bockhold named commended student in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program
John Tekulve, headmaster at St. Bernard Prep. School, announced recently that Mackenzie Bockhold has been named a commended student in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. A letter of commendation from the school and national Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, was presented to Bockhold.
NFIB/Alabama, NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation to offer vocational and trade school scholarships
The state office of the National Federation of Independent Business and the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation today announced the creation of two college scholarships specifically intended for students who want to attend a vocational or trade school.
