First Time



I remember the first time he said, “Hey!”

I had no idea what to say.

We were in a very crowded place

But all I could see was his face.



I felt my breath taken away

I had to think of something to say.

I felt as if this was just a dream,

But all of a sudden there was a gleam.



I caught myself with a smile,

Only if he could feel what I feel .

We were both staring for awhile

Then I felt a sudden thrill.
