West Point High School
The Eyes That Lie
He’s tall, dark, and handsome;
He’s any girl’s dream;
His voice is deep and puts you at ransom;
His eyes are full of love
And fill you with peace like a dove.
He comes off as charming and sweet;
I fell for him on our very first meet.
But what no one knows,
And what he’ll never show;
The true, dark, deceiving individual he is.
His eyes disguise the lies that he hides;
His will is stronghold, and to him, the games will never get old.
His face is shameless as he puts me through this pain;
My love for him must go down the drain.
My eyes scream with fear;
But no one is here;
This love is like a spear,
Cutting down to the bone;
And now my body is turning to stone.
