Soar by Kelly Wilson

CULLMAN — Kelly Wilson

West Point High School

Soar

I take flight,

In the safety of night,

Always running from the light,

Soaring to a new height.

It feels like a dream,

To have senses so keen

To fly in the Dark,

I’m truly blessed by this mark.

But hiding from light,

Puts my dreams out of sight,

I’ll face my fears,

And I’ll let it come near.

I’ll fly in the light,

Instead of the night,

I’ll take flight,

And once again,

Soar to a new height.
