Ladies' Expo June 8
The Cullman Ladies' Expo will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 8, the Elks Lodge in Cullman.

Utility bill assistance for Cullman Countians
The Community Action Partnership of North Alabama has experienced a decrease in calls so we have decided to set aside two days, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 29-30, for “open energy assistance” for residents of Cullman County (closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.).

Cullman County's Walk for Autism
The annual walk will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 27, at the Wallace State Community College’s Track and Field area.

Pebble Bluegrass Festival
The Pebble Community Center will hold a Bluegrass festival April 26-27, rain or shine, at the center at 100 County Road 3423, Haleyville 35565.

Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center to hold Day of Reflection
The Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center will present The Little Way of St. Thérèse of Liseux, who promoted a spirituality based on doing little things with great love.

Holly Pond FFA plant sale
The Holly Pond High School FFA is now holding its annual greenhouse sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each school day and will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27.

Cullman City Schools Foundation selling books by Dr. C.E. Scruggs
Cullman City Schools Foundation still has copies of “The View From Brindley Mountain: A Memoir of the Rural South” available for purchase, signed by the author. Contact Dawn Klinger at 256-590-3159 to purchase a copy for $20. The book is about Cullman in the 1940s written by '56 CHS graduate, Dr. C. Eugene Scruggs, Professor Emeritus, University of South Florida.

Hanceville Elementary pageant now accepting applicants
The Hanceville Elementary School pageant will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the school. $25 for beauty division only; side events extra. Those who register after May 2 - $35. All proceeds go to classroom needs at the school
