Replacement headstone dedication
On the 13th of April a small dedication ceremony was held at the Simcoe Methodist Church Cemetery for an Army veteran who had passed away in September of 1999.

The Wallace State Community College Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 2013 Outstanding Alumni Awards. Outstanding alumni will be recognized for their exceptional accomplishments in their profession and/or for outstanding service in the community. Nominations are also being accepted for the Promising Alumni Award for 2013.

Utility bill assistance for Cullman Countians
The Community Action Partnership of North Alabama has experienced a decrease in calls so we have decided to set aside two days, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 29-30, for “open energy assistance” for residents of Cullman County (closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.).

The annual walk will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 27, at the Wallace State Community College’s Track and Field area.

The Pebble Community Center will hold a Bluegrass festival April 26-27, rain or shine, at the center at 100 County Road 3423, Haleyville 35565.
