CULLMAN —
With five acres of corn planted and their mind-boggling design now created, the Daniel family of 4D Farm is bringing the “MAiZE craze” to Cullman Sept. 29-Oct. 31. Hours are from 2 to 6 p.m. Fridays; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 5 to 10 p.m. Halloween.
This year’s labyrinth features the Dukes of Hazzard theme. Though the correct pathways can be walked in 30 minutes, most directionally-challenged visitors will require about 45 minutes to one hour to travel through the twists and turns.
Field trip hours, during weekdays, are available by reservation. 4D Farm is located just a short drive to the country, in Cullman. Cost is $10 for ages 2 to 64, 65 and older is $8, and free for kids 2 years and younger. Discounts are offered for groups and field trips (teachers may find information at 4dfarmfun.com.
For more information, contact the Daniel family at 256-775-2924 or visit www.4dfarmfun.com. Like 4D Farm on facebook for up to date discounts and event notifications.
A-MAiZE-ing clues: Interactive “passport” stops are available for groups and the general public. These are found at checkpoints in the maze and contain questions that quiz the user on a chosen subject, and those who answer the questions correctly will receive clues that guide them along the correct path to the exit.
In an effort to make the experience as easy or as hard as visitors want it to be, the maze has been divided into two phases: phase one is shorter and easier and phase two is a more challenging, longer section. Participants will have the option to continue on to the next phase or exit the maze at the entrance to each level.
4D Farm will be open at night for flashlight nights…don’t forget to bring your light and get ready for a challenge! But don’t worry — no haunts, just fun!
