Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce
The Cullman area’s leading students and teachers will be recognized at the Chamber’s 9th annual Student- and Teacher of the Year awards sponsored by Gloria Williams, Freedom Insurance Agency are scheduled for May 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CRMC Community Education Center/Colonel Cullmann Room.
Each Cullman area high school submits a student of the year to represent their school. Also three career technical student nominees are selected to compete for Career Technical Student of the Year. All students are evaluated on the following criteria: GPA, extra-curricular activities and awards, a written response (essay) on their proposed college course of study and occupation, letters of recommendation and an interview.
The area schools teacher of the year selections will also be acknowledged at this event.
Tickets for this year’s event are open to the public and $15/person with reserved corporate tables of eight also available for $150. To reserve your seats online, visit www.cullmanchamber.org.
