The Times seeks nominations for 2013 Unsung Heroes

CULLMAN — The Cullman Times is seeking the community's nominations for our annual list of Unsung Heroes that will be published in our 2013 Profile edition.

Do you know someone who deserves recognition for civic or church work, community service or dedication to an activity or organization? If so, please nominate them as an Unsung Hero.

We're seeking the people who display unselfish acts of kindness, courage or generosity that make Cullman County a better place to live and work.

To nominate someone for the recognition, write us a note that describes what the person does or did that is so special. You cannot nominate yourself. We will choose six to eight for publication in Profile 2013, which is scheduled for March. We will take their photographs and invite them and the people who nominated them to a reception sometime in March.

Mail your suggestion to: Editor, 300 Fourth Ave. SE, Cullman, AL 35055 Attn: Unsung Heroes; or e-mail to dpalmer@cullmantimes.com; or fax them to 736-2972. You can also drop off your suggestion at the newspaper weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to Sallee Chandler. All nominations are due in The Times office by 5 p.m. March 1, 2013.

Scoring System
The overall score determines the reinspection schedule and the use of enforcement actions.
Scoring between 85 and 100 are considered to be in satisfactory compliance and are inspected on routine schedule.
Scoring between 70 and 84 require a follow up inspection within 60 days.
Scoring between 60 and 69 require follow up and reinspection within 48 hours.
Scoring below 60 are closed immediately. Scores may be accessed at www.adph.org.
