The Cullman Times
The Berlin Sunshine Club met Feb. 21, for the annual mother/daughter banquet. The tables were beautifully decorated in a Valentines theme by Doris Walker and Ruth Freeman.
President Ruth Freeman called the meeting to order, asking members to bow in a moment of silence in memory of Mary Nell Edge, a former club member, who recently passed away. Following prayer requests, Ann Bishop gave a meaningful devotion on the love of her life: Jesus. Jill Bishop-Hollis led the prayer and blessing.
The business meeting was a discussion to finalize the community egg hunt scheduled for 2 p.m. March 23, at the Berlin Community Center. Ruth urged all members to participate.
Others in attendance were: Ruth Freeman and daughter, Becky Smith; Gail Wood and daughter, Alison Harbison and Alison's daughter, Josie; Ann Bishop and daughter, Jill Bishop-Hollis and Jill's daughter, Elianna Hollis; Becky Smith and daughter, Amber Bates; Janice Hayes and daughter, Dorthy; Susie Smith and daughter, Patty Martin; Marilyn Bolte; Joan Walker; Tootie Sanford; Peggy Hardman; Karen Dunn; Madison Washburn and Doris Walker.
