VFW 2214 hosts Community Awards banquet

CULLMAN — Each year, the Cullman VFW Post 2214 recognizes a local teacher, law enforcement officer, emergency medical technician, and firefighter for the year. Those chosen, along with family, are invited to a dinner/awards ceremony. Additionally, the veterans sponsor a Patriot's Pen patriotic essay contest for area middle school students and a Voice of Democracy patriotic essay contest for area high school students. The Veterans of Foreign Wars are proud to recognize these outstanding members of our community both for their service and for their love of country.
