CULLMAN —
HANCEVILLE, Ala.--Wallace State Community College will celebrate the groundbreaking for its new School of Nursing and Center for Science on February 2, 2011 at 11 a.m.. This state-of-the-art facility, designed by Williams Blackstock Architects of Birmingham to replicate a hospital, will provide advanced simulation-based and problem-based learning opportunities in a collaborative, interdisciplinary educational environment. It will house the College’s Nursing Program, which enrolls more than 600 students each semester, and Biology Department, whose enrollment has also outgrown its current space, as well as related health and science classes. The public is invited to attend the event.
