Public meetings listings

Due to potential scheduling conflicts, The Times suggests those planning to attend public meetings to call town halls and boards to confirm meeting times.



Cullman County Commission

The Cullman County Commission holds a public meeting on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 10 a.m. at the Cullman County Courthouse in the County Commission conference room on the first floor at the north end of the building.



SWCD Monthly Supervisors Meeting

The Cullman County Soil and Water Conservation District’s monthly supervisors meeting is held the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the USDA Service Center,  501 4th St. SW, Cullman 35055.



Cullman City

The Cullman City Council meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. in the Lucille N. Galin Municipal Auditorium.



The Cullman City Planning Commission meets on the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Lucille N. Galin Municipal Auditorium.



The Cullman City Zoning Board of Adj. meets on the third Monday night of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Lucille N. Galin Municipal Auditorium.



The Cullman City Utilities Board meets on the Tuesday following the second city council meeting of each month at noon in the conference room at Cullman Power Board.



The Cullman Regional Airport Board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. at the Cullman Regional Airport/Folsom Field.



The Cullman City Economic Development meets the fourth Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Lucille N. Galin Municipal Auditorium.



The Cullman City Personnel Board meets the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Cullman City Hall.



Cullman City Board of Education

Regular Board Meetings of the Cullman City Board of Education are the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room located at 301 first St. NE.



Colony

The Colony Town Council meets the first Monday of the month at 6 p.m. Please contact the town hall 287-1192 for more information.



Baileyton

The Town Council meets on the first Monday of the month at the town hall (behind the post office) at 7 p.m.



Dodge City

The Dodge City Town Council meets the second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.at town hall.



Hanceville

The Hanceville City Council meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 5 p.m. at Hanceville City Hall.



The city of Hanceville holds a monthly work session on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 4:30 p.m. The public may attend all meetings.



The Hanceville Water Board meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m.



Holly Pond

The Holly Pond Town Council meets the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the town hall.



Garden City

Garden City town council meets every third Monday of the month at 6 p.m.



Good Hope

The Good Hope council meet every second and fourth Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Good Hope Town Hall.



Fairview

The Fairview Council meets on the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Fairview Town Hall.



Vinemont

Vinemont town council meets every first Thursday at 6 p.m.



West Point

West Point town council meets every third Monday of the month at 6 p.m.

CLUB MEETINGS



Cullman Kiwanis

The Cullman Kiwanis Club meets at noon every Monday at the All Steak restaurant, third-floor banquet room. Prospective members are encouraged to attend.



Civitan Club

The Cullman Civitan Club meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Daily’s restaurant. Prospective members may attend.

    LifeSouth Community Blood Centers and the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive contest between the City of Cullman and Cullman County from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 14. Those making “city” donations may give at the Festhalle Market Platz and Cullman Shopping Center. “County” donations may be made at the Cullman County Courthouse and Walmart Supercenter.

    HotRod Magazine Power Tour will pass through Cullman County Wednesday, June 5, traveling down Highway 157 through West Point to access I-65 at the 310 interchange on its way to Hoover for a hugh car show that afternoon.

    The Cullman City Parks and Recreation Department will begin its Coca Cola Summer Concerts series at 6:30 p.m. June 4, at Heritage Park.

    These ratings are taken from the Alabama Department of Public Health Website at foodscores.state.al.us.    
    Scoring System
    The overall score determines the reinspection schedule and the use of enforcement actions:
    Scoring between 85 and 100: Establishments are considered to be in satisfactory compliance and are inspected on routine schedule.
    Scoring between 70 and 84: Establishments require a follow-up inspection within 60 days.
    Scoring 60-69: Establishments require follow-up and reinspection within 48 hours.
    Scoring below 60: Establishments are closed immediately. Scores may be accessed at www.adph.org.
