Proposals for home health agencies under consideration

CULLMAN — Applications to operate new home health agencies in Blount County are under consideration by the State Health Planning and Development Agency. This is being done pursuant to the provisions of Title 22, Chapter 21, Article 9, Code of Alabama, 1975. This could result in the issuance of a Certificate of Need.

The applications were submitted by Allied Home Care of Alabama LLC; and Saad Enterprises, Inc., d/b/a/ Saad Healthcare Services of Blount County.

The cost of the Allied Home Care’s proposed project would be $414,812.

Saad Healthcare Services’ proposed project’s cost is $376,492.

Interested parties, who wish to submit written statements, or indicate a desire to appear before the Certificate of Need Review Board, must do so on or before June 20, 2013, and provide a copy of statements to Kelli Fleming, Esquire, Burr and Forman, LLP, 420 North 20th St., Ste. 3400, Birmingham, AL 35203. The project number is AL2013-042.

    Rebecca Carter of Vinemont was recently selected to participate in the 2014 Miss Teen Birmingham/Montgomery pageant competition that will take place Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. Rebecca learned of her acceptance into this year's competition when the pageant announced their selections following interviewing in the local Birmingham/Montgomery area. Rebecca submitted an application and took part in an interview session that was conducted by this year's Birmingham/Montgomery Pageant Coordinator.
