Volksmarch 2012

CULLMAN — The Volksmarch (in English: People’s Walk) is a 5K or 10K walking event at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6, beginning at Festhalle Market Platz during the Oktoberfest.

This is a self-paced walking event along the scenic/historic trail of Cullman. It begins in downtown and takes one through a highlight of historical buildings/sites and other noteworthy places throughout the City of Cullman. A set of directions and map with detailed information of each marked site will be given to participants at the start point. Cost is $3 for those wishing to receive IVV credit, while all others walk for free. Event is sponsored by the American Volksmarch ASsociation and the Capital City Wanderers.

    Scoring System
    The overall score determines the reinspection schedule and the use of enforcement actions.
    Scoring between 85 and 100 are considered to be in satisfactory compliance and are inspected on routine schedule.
    Scoring between 70 and 84 require a follow up inspection within 60 days.
    Scoring between 60 and 69 require follow up and reinspection within 48 hours.
    Scoring below 60 are closed immediately. Scores may be accessed at www.adph.org.
