Law Enforcement Reports

Here is a look at the incidents that were reported to the Cullman Police Department for Monday:


‰ Domestic violence — Phillip Michael Laney, 42, of Cullman was arrested at the Cullman County Detention Center.

‰ Forfeitures-unlawful possession of marijuana, minor in possession of alcohol, falsely reporting an incident — Heath Alan Garner, 19, of Cullman was arrested at the Cullman County Detention Center.

‰ Forfeiture-speeding — Andrew John Evans, 32, of Fultondale was arrested at the Cullman County Detention Center.

‰ Theft of property — Beverly Whitley Moore, 42, of Cullman was arrested on Olive St. SW.

‰ Forfeiture-driving without a license — Larry Shane Willingham, 33, of Cullman was arrested at the Cullman County Detention Center.

‰ DUI, driving with one headlight, improper tag light — Christopher Donald McGraw, 37, of Hanceville was arrested on County Road 702 at County Road 627 SE.


‰ Forgery — Cullman Discount Pharmacy, 2nd Ave. SW, 8 forged prescriptions.

‰ Indecent exposure — Olive St. SW.

‰ Assault — 2nd Ave. NW.

‰ Theft of property — Wal-Mart, Olive St. SW, numerous miscellaneous items-$301, arrest was made.

‰ Theft of property — Ward Ave. SW, U.S. currency, tool set-$2,250.

‰ Unlawful possession of a controlled substance — County Road 437.

‰ Theft of property — County Road 1621.

‰ Theft of property — County Road 1273.

‰ Breaking and entering a motor vehicle — County Road 616.

‰ Theft of property — County Road 1809.

‰ Breaking and entering a motor vehicle — County Road 438.

  • WSCC farm exhibition.jpg A new exhibition at the Burrow Museum features rural farm scenes

    Dozens of prints depicting rural life are now on display at the Burrow Museum in an exhibition entitled “Days Gone By.”
    The exhibition is on loan to the museum from Grover and Irma Reeves of Vinemont, who have been collecting prints that remind them of the past and, in some cases, their own life for about 10 years. Their daughter Jeanne, who works for Cotton Incorporated, would attend conferences where one of their favorite artists would be selling prints. She would buy some of those prints and introduced her parents to his work.

    Several of the Pilot Club of Cullman members presented a check to the Field of Miracles at their last night to have the spring ball games, May 22nd. A check of $500 was given in honor of Jimmy Dale Burgess  for his dedication to the calling of the games over the public address system. He attends each and every game and makes each individual athlete feel very special as they make their way around the bases.

    St. Bernard Prep School’s Abby Byre Center for the Performing Arts will present a production of Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” at 6:56 p.m. May 1-3; and at 2 p.m. May 4, at 1600 St. Bernard Dr. SE, Cullman 35055.

  • Lions Club Cullman County Schools.jpg Cullman Lions' Club presented donation to Cullman County Schools

    Ed Henke, of the Cullman Lions' Club, presented a check for $6,500 to Stephanie Coffey, teacher of the visually impaired; and Tiffanye Mitchell, coordinator of Special Education, Cullman County School System. These funds will be used to purchase equipment and material for students with visual impairments in the Cullman County School System.

  • EES to present ‘Oklahoma’

    Students at East Elementary School will present the Broadway musical “Oklahoma” at 7 p.m. April 25; and at 1 p.m. April 16, in the school’s gym. Doors will be open one hour early each day. Admission is $5; children five years and under are free. Proceeds will go to future productions by the East Elementary Musical Theatre Department.
