Pebble Bluegrass Festival

CULLMAN — The Pebble Community Center will hold a Bluegrass festival April 26-27, rain or shine, at the center at 100 County Road 3423, Haleyville 35565.

Musical guests to include the Sparks family, the Huntley Sisters, Knee Deep Bluegrass, and Wayne Jerrolds and Savanna Grass.

All bands, pickers welcome to an on-stage jam session during the supper break.

Tickets $10/weekend; $5/Friday; $7/Saturday/Children 6-12/$2; under six free with adult.

Concessions available; barbecue and smoked chicken supper wil be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Bring lawn chairs. Free camping in rough; hookups $10/day for water and electricity. No drugs or alcohol - strictly enforced.

    The Cullman Ballet Society has auditions for summer scholarships, with registration at noon Saturday, March 15, at the Cullman Ballet Theatre School.     Rebecca Carter of Vinemont was recently selected to participate in the 2014 Miss Teen Birmingham/Montgomery pageant competition that will take place Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. Rebecca learned of her acceptance into this year's competition when the pageant announced their selections following interviewing in the local Birmingham/Montgomery area. Rebecca submitted an application and took part in an interview session that was conducted by this year's Birmingham/Montgomery Pageant Coordinator.
