43rd Annual Birmingham Boat Show salutes Lake Logan Martin & Smith Lake

BIRMINGHAM — Alabama’s largest Marine Expo, The Birmingham Boat Show launches its’ 43rd consecutive run at the Birmingham-Jefferson

Convention Center, January 16-19, 2014.   

New for 2014 will be a special salute to two of Alabama’s many outstanding lakes – Lake Logan Martin and Smith Lake. On

Saturday, January 18th at 12:30pm on the Seminar Stage, the Boat Show will present A Salute to Smith Lake – Sponsored by

the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce and "Smith Lake Living Magazine". A special presentation by Eddie Hand,

Publisher of Smith Lake Living Magazine,, and Leah Bolin, President and CEO of the Cullman Area

Chamber of Commerce, Highlighting the destination get-a-ways on and around Smith Lake,

featuring Chamber of Commerce members and exciting give-a-ways! Featured Give-a-Way: You will have a chance to win

a Yolo Paddle Board sponsored by Yolo Paddle Board, Smith Lake Paddle Board and Smith Lake Living Magazine! Following

this presentation on Saturday at 5:30pm on the Seminar Stage - A Salute to Lake Logan Martin - Hosted by Erica Grieve,

Executive Director of the Greater Pell City Chamber of Commerce, A special presentation

highlighting the destination get-a-ways on and around Lake Logan Martin, featuring Chamber of Commerce members and

exciting give-a-ways!                              

The show’s annual message for the past several years has been that families who boat, fish and participate in outdoor

activities, gain a unique ability to bond together as a close family unit.  Keeping children involved in the great outdoors

creates the positive foundation on which they are able to learn and become productive adults. The Birmingham Boat Show

is the perfect starting place to gain the necessary knowledge for both the beginning outdoor enthusiast, as well as the

seasoned professional.  

The Birmingham Boat Show includes both local boat dealers as well as dealers from across the entire great state of

Alabama.  Dubbed by the nation’s major engine and boat manufacturers as a Tier One Show, the Birmingham Boat Show is

the perfect bowl game for outdoor enthusiasts. This year’s Birmingham Boat Show will set a statewide record with 21 boat

    Rebecca Carter of Vinemont was recently selected to participate in the 2014 Miss Teen Birmingham/Montgomery pageant competition that will take place Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. Rebecca learned of her acceptance into this year's competition when the pageant announced their selections following interviewing in the local Birmingham/Montgomery area. Rebecca submitted an application and took part in an interview session that was conducted by this year's Birmingham/Montgomery Pageant Coordinator.
