CULLMAN — The Cullman Electric Cooperative is working to restore power to approximately 700 area customers, due to damage caused in Monday night's storm.
Co-op spokesperson Brian Lacy said crews started work at 4 a.m. this morning, to repair 3,100 outages from the overnight peak. Most of the outages are contained to the east side of the county.
Lacy said repair crews hope to have everyone back online before the next round of storms hit this afternoon. If work is not complete, crews will have to be pulled back for safety reasons until conditions improve, then redeployed.
