Damage reported in east Cullman County; responders on scene

CULLMAN — Emergency responders are in Berlin and other areas of northeast Cullman County investigating reports of damage to structures.

“The reports are of damage all over northeast Cullman County. We have responders and deputies there and we’re waiting on reports of any injuries and what type of structures were damaged,” said Phyllis Little, director of Cullman County Emergency Management Agency.

One report from firefighters reported that a mobile home on County Road 747 was apparently missing and that people were possibly inside. Reports were also heard of damage to several houses on County Road 601. Numerous trees were also reported toppled by the storm.

An official confirmation of a tornado was not available but warnings were issued for that area prior to the report of damage.

Little said damage was reported in various areas including Fairview, Welti, Holly Pond and Berlin.
