An evening fireworks display and concert by Jeff Cook has been canceled Saturday night, do to inclement weather and a countywide tornado warning.
Cullman County is under a tornado watch as a storm system moves across North Alabama.
This means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form, so local residents should stay close to a news source as the storm develops. The watch is scheduled to remain in effect until 9 p.m. tonight.
A tornado warning is currently in effect in Winston County, just to our west. If the storm retains its strength as it moves toward Cullman, a tornado warning could be issued here.
