City schools honor alumni at annual Foundation event

Carolyn Peinhardt Johnson, left, surprises Dr. Ginger Holt on stage after Holt was named a Distinguished Alumni during the Cullman City Schools Foundation luncheon Friday afternoon at Northbrook Baptist Church. Peinhardt told of a fifth grade Holt asking for a cow heart she could dissect. Holt, a 1988 Cullman graduate, is currently the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program director at Vanderbilt.
