CULLMAN —
A Field Day will be held at the North Alabama Horticulture Research Center on Thursday, October 11th, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to tour the Research Center and see ongoing research including pumpkin variety trials, ornamental corn variety trials, cover crop demonstrations, and no till plantings.
Dr. Joe Kemble, Extension Vegetable Specialist, will be on hand to present the latest results from the variety trials. Other Extension and Experiment station personnel will be present to help with the tour and answer any questions you might have.
A hamburger dinner will be provided after the tour. If you wish to attend, please call the Cullman County Extension Office at 256-737-9386 to register.
The North Alabama Horticulture Research Center is located at 765 County Road 1466, Cullman.

The Cullman County Farmers Federation and Women's Committee sponsored the Poultry Casserole Division and the Cullman County Poultry and Egg Association sponsored the Whole Piece Division. Winners of the Poultry Casserole Division are Kristy Moore, Cold Springs, first place; Katie Veal, Cullman, second place; Savanna Terry, Vinemont, third place; Kaitlin Turner, CACC, fourth place; and Tallie Schaffer, West Point, fifth place.
